Dance
Dance has played an integral role in shaping me into who I am today. I danced from age 5 to 22. I have taught at camps in the summer, judged team tryouts, judged at competitions, provided private lessons to younger dancers and now assistant coach for a high school JV dance team in Michigan. I danced at The Dance Connection in Canton, MI for 12 years until I graduated high school. I then spent my next 4 years of college on the Central Michigan University Dance Team where I served as captain for 2 years.
Snowboarding
I first got into snowboarding when I moved out to Colorado. Growing up dancing competitively my whole life made the transition to studying everyday very difficult. Snowboarding provided an outlet for my energy and allowed me to continue with a sport.
Photography
I picked up this hobby after college while I spent a year working as a scribe and applying to medical school. I’d taken a photography class in high school and served on the yearbook using my photos in my entries. Photos taken at dance competitions and on the field in college were some I cherish to this day. After receiving my first “real” camera I was taught more about sport photography. I used this knowledge to photograph my brother during his senior seasons of basketball and baseball. I also attended many football games at my alma mater photographing my teammates. It brings me so much joy capturing a moment for someone and seeing their reaction when they receive it.
Reading
Reading is a huge passion of mine and something I try to incorporate into my everyday routine.
